As a boy, I enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with my mom. She taught me how important it was to balance each meal. We lived only an hour away from Walt Disney World, and our family would go there often. It was always my dream to work there someday. I wanted to be able to share my talents of cooking at the place where dreams come true.
Then one day, it happened, I became a Disney cast member and I got the chance to make magic for the Disney guests! Each day was an adventure and a challenge, as I learned new techniques and honed my culinary skills. I learned from all the different positions and locations in the kitchen. It was both fun and exciting.
At the same time, another role in my life at Disney changed. That was the fate of meeting my lovely wife, Michele. If it wasn’t for Disney, and our love of singing, we never would have met at the cast choir. She knew my passion, and that I was always creating some kind of new dish for her to enjoy. She has been and will always be my inspiration for so many things in life. For example, she helped me to get back to school, and encouraged me to get my culinary degree. I owe everything to her. Michelle gave me the freedom to pursue my dreams even further and to become the passionate Chef that I am today.
When I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2004, I left Disney’s kitchens and started my own personal chef business. Now, just like my mother did for me and our family, I get to touch the lives of the families that I cook for and make a difference for them.
